Boulder City Sunrise Rotary's annual Fundraiser ~ ("Fun"raiser) takes place the last weekend of September in Bicentennial Park in Boulder City, so please plan on joining us on Saturday, September 30th, 2017!
This popular and successful annual event is Sunrise Rotary's annual fundraising project and the proceeds go back into community activities, the largest of these being the alcohol and drug free, "All Night Graduation Party" hosted for the Boulder City High School graduating seniors. Planned to keep young adults safe on graduation night, the event takes lots of manpower and costs a great deal. However, it is Sunrise Rotary's most rewarding project, so we appreciate your support of our event and more importantly, we're proud of the work our organization does within the community with the funds we are able to raise!
We gladly accept event sponsorships and donations throughout the year for both our live and silent auctions at Wurstfest, with all proceeds to benefit Boulder City Sunrise Rotary's projects. On Saturday morning, the Brat-grillers start grilling the more than 4,000 brats, sausages and hot dogs during this one day event. In addition to our food, refreshing soft drinks, water, margaritas, wine and beer will be served by Sunrise Rotarians.
The Wurst Dam Car Show, will once again showcase several hundred vehicles in the shaded comfort of the park.
The Silent Auction is a multi-section event that will begin at 11am and will end at 3pm and includes donations from local and valley merchants, Rotarians and friends, including jewelry, theme baskets, gift certificates, artwork and lots of easy on the wallet items. For the delight of the children there is a no charge play area overseen by Rotarians and friends.
The largest piece to this fundraiser is the Live Auction running from 4pm to 6 pm. Zany Rotarian auctioneers and spotters add fun to this popular event with bidders always in very vocal but friendly competition to purchase the auction items. Some items you can usually count on in this event are vehicles, golf and vacation packages, furniture, sports memorabilia, tandem bikes and donations from businesses and Rotarians.
As always, the Wurstfest will offer live entertainment during the midday hours and will cap off the day's activities with an evening concert in the park until 10pm!
